We’re in Jamaica Mon!
We finally made it to Jamaica after a long day of traveling that started at 2:30 am with a van ride to MSP, and ended with a 2 hour wait in the Customs/Immigration line. All bags and persons are accounted for, minus a few bags of Goldfish crackers squashed en route! Everyone was patient and took on the Jamaican attitude of going with the flow. We are spending our first night at a hotel on the beach. We’re taking advantage of our short time here by swimming in the ocean tonight and snorkeling tomorrow before check out. Then it will be up the mountain we go to the town of Accompong where we’ll spend the rest of our time. We ask that you pray for: safe travels up the mountain, new experiences we are about to encounter, and for the youth of Accompong as we work with them. (Pictures of our adventure coming soon!)
Our team includes: Tori Helgeson, Mallory Sorenson, Tanner Casterton, Will Martin, Noah Hanson, Connor Larson, Jordan & Joee Winter, and Jean & Faith Anderson. We appreciate your prayers and support! Talk to you soon, mon!
