For those of you who I have not met yet, I'm Jordan Winter, the new Director of Youth Minitries here at First Lutheran.  I'm really excited to be here!  Since some of you(or maybe a lot of you) don't know much about me, I thought I would fill you in with a little history lesson all about me.

I'm a born and raised Iowa boy.  I grew up in Estherville and graduated high school there.  After high school I attended Luther College  in Decorah, IA.  Right before I started at Luther, my parents moved to Sioux Center, IA.  While in college, I spent my summers working at two church camps and one church.  I spent 2 summers at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp, one summer at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN, doing elementary sports camp, and my final summer at Lutheran Lakeside Camp.  I graduated from Luther in 2006 with a major in business management and a minor in math.  After college I got a job as the Youth and Family Coordinator at a Lutheran church in Burlington, IA.  Burlington is on the Mississippi River about 40 miles north of the Missouri border.  I spent almost 2 years there before I took the position in Albert Lea.

I look forward to trying to get to know everyone and especially working with the youth.  If you would like to get to know me a little better please don't be afraid to come up and talk to me.

Jenny Edwin, Christian Education Coordinator

This is the first time I have held a position in a church. I was born and raised in Richfield, MN. I am the oldest of 3 girls. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of North Dakota for 2 years and then transferred to Saint Cloud State University. There I completed a degree in dental hygiene.

I have been married to my husband for 11 years. We have 2 boys, Jack (5) and Max (2). So for the past 6 years I have been a stay at home mom. It has been the most rewarding experience thus far in my life. For the past 5 years I have been coaching high school gymnastics for NRHEG. This too has been a terrific experience. So now I begin yet another new journey here at First Lutheran. I have already met so many wonderful people here. The  prayers and support I have received from the staff has been amazing. Thanks to all of you.
